Embrace
“Embrace” was crafted from a downed Alder as the result of a windstorm on my wooded property. After storing and drying the piece for a couple of years, the contour of the wood inspired me to design this coffee table with a large cobble nestled in the warm embrace of the fallen alder. The partial tree trunk appears hovering above the floor and floating under the 1/2”, beveled glass tabletop.
The golden, hammer-finished, steel base was faithfully fabricated to my specifications by my friends at Black Fin Design http://www.blackfindesign.com/
