Simply put, my work is crafted with an emphasis on creativity and sustainability. Materials are locally sourced, salvaged or reclaimed, FSC certified, and/or otherwise sustainably harvested. 

This fuels my passion for a low-impact operation.   

The beauty of nature fuels my aesthetic. 

Collaborating with other local artists fuels my love of community.  

My functional art strives to be organically flowing and rhythmic in its design, while being harmonious with its surroundings. In fact, my approach mirrors the principles found in the jazz I study, play, and love so deeply. The creative process encompasses the spontaneity of improvisation grounded in the techniques that provide the foundation to the art form.

And finally, among my continuing efforts to help foster a sustainable future, I plant a tree for every product sold, no matter the size or price point.   

about king dahl

King spent 3+ decades as a respected event producer creating temporary environments and experiences for guests throughout the world. Starting early on as a prop builder and installation specialist with a boutique event company, he turned his passion for creating props into one of full-service event design and production.

King has continuously surrounded himself with amazing artisans while leading the creative output of the design and fabrication studios of his own company, King Dahl Event Design. He sold KDED in 2003 to lead the design and sales forces of Las Vegas’ prestigious MGM Resorts Event Productions. He and his teammates have been recognized with many international design awards over the years, including King’s induction into the Event Solutions Magazine Hall of Fame for a lifetime of achievement in production.

Creative expression now resides exactly where he wants it as King is enjoying a purposeful work-life balance hand-crafting unique pieces for the home, office, and the event industry he knows so well.
